Not to be confused with overwhelm (which is when we simply have so many tasks that need to be done, we fail to start anything) procrastination is when we know exactly what needs to be done but for some reason we are just not doing it.
Your subconscious mind is naturally prone to procrastination because it primarily thinks in the short term. If we are stuck in the mud but can see the green grass a few yards away, our logical, conscious mind can easily see the value of starting to wade through the mud. However your subconscious mind is only concerned with the immediate options available: do nothing and stay where we are or wade through mud.
Put like that it’s a no brainer. Why task ourselves with the unpleasant job of wading through mud when doing nothing seems so appealing. As a result our mind seeks out distraction and will divert your attention to anything other than this nasty mud-wading option.
Take a look at the video to see how I recommend solving this particular puzzle and get my top tip for inspiring your subconscious into action.
