SELF DISCIPLINE DOESN’T WORK

We often talk about how we need to employ a little self discipline to get something done.

However, let’s not forget that discipline means to induce action through the threat of punishment.

Punishing yourself for inactivity isn’t a great way to self motivate.

Our mind tends to respond better when our inner monologue is more supportive and appreciative.

Beating ourself up tends to create low personal image, bad morale inside your own mind and very possibly active resistance on your subconscious.

Here’s a thought for today...how about for the next 24 hours you work on a principle of encouraging and rewarding yourself for what you achieve rather than punishing yourself for what you didn’t.

You might see a difference in what you get done, and perhaps even a more motivated personal outlook.
